It’s new, it’s unheard - and somehow different from what we are used to know as classical guitar music. "Guitarra Nueva" is what the four virtuosos call their oeuvre. An entirely new genre as it is called throughout the landscape of contemporary music press. Professional, meticulous and even acrobatic: The Machado Quartett re-defines the concert guitar’s sound spectrum and simply surprises the audience with new arrangements and interpretations. Tango, classical music, latino-rhythms, jazz and pop melt in excitingly interacting instruments.
